Web Development Intern (Closed)

 

Karyosoft LLC is looking for a web development intern to help build our leading-edge genomics data management platform. The intern will work closely with Karyosoft scientists in an agile environment to understand needs and implement software using modern web development technologies. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to experience start-up culture and learn the latest web and data science technologies (Cloud Computing, NoSQL, Reactive Programming, etc.). The selected candidate will work remotely with flexible timings.

 

Qualifications/Required Skills:

• Students/graduates from a BS/MS/Ph.D. program in Computer Science, Information Systems or related fields

• Excellent programming skills in Javascript or Python

• Excellent communication skills and ability to learn and work independently when necessary

 

Desired Skills:

• Experience with modern front end frameworks (e.g. React, Angular 2+) is a plus

• Experience with NoSQL databases is a plus

• Design, develop, and deploy connection of Loci to business intelligence/visualization tools like Microsoft Power BI and Tableau
